Colin Burton could tell you just about everything there is to know about Masters Basketball because he never takes a day off – not even for his birthday.

Despite a Gold Medal in the Basketball, a collection of games memorabilia, two hip replacements and 16 years of involvement under his belt, Mr Burton was surprised to find out he was the subject of this article.

The birthday boy spent the first day of his 73rd year umpiring the Jupiters Pan Pacific Masters Games Basketball events at Runaway Bay today – including a few 30+ Women’s matches which was,

This was “just the luck of the draw”, he assured me.

A Gold Coast local for the past 30 years, Mr Burton began playing Basketball as a junior and has been involved in both refereeing and competing at every Jupiters Pan Pacific Masters Games as far back as 1998 when the competition was known as the Asia Pacific Masters Games.

When asked what keeps him coming back, Mr Burton explained,

“Its great fun, you meet people you haven’t seen in years. I see guys that I played with 50 years ago”.

But it’s his cheeky smile and the way his eyes light up after seeing a great play that will tell even a passer by all they need to know – that he lives and breathes for this sport.

“It’s just generally good to be here”, Mr Burton said.

From all of the Jupiters Pan Pacific Masters Games staff, competitors and spectators, Happy Birthday Colin, many happy returns, and looking forward to seeing you back again in 2016.

The new system was born here and filagra this is not something that we would like to see. Caverta whilst better in some elements but not significant for us.
