A 50-year-old superwoman from Palm Beach has set herself an exhausting schedule at the 2018 Pan Pacific Masters Games on the Gold Coast.

Jodie Ffewkes is no stranger to putting herself under the pump, which she is doing this week by competing in four sports; the fitness challenge, netball, soccer and futsal.

“I’ve been training at the CrossFit gym four to five times a week, as well as running and training for netball and soccer,” Jodie said.

And there is no sign of her stopping anytime soon.

“This is my third time competing in the fitness challenge at the Pan Pacs, but I have competed in netball and soccer (many times) in the past,” Jodie said.

“I decided to start competing in the fitness challenge because it has made me stronger and the community aspect is great because you’ve got people cheering you on who don’t even know who you are.

“I love these games because it is so great to compete against people your own age.”

Jodie already has a 2018 silver medal under her belt from futsal, and her netball team are currently undefeated during this campaign.

She says her motivation for competing comes from the excitement the four sports deliver.

“I stay motivated because I enjoy the buzz and adrenaline rush,” she said.
