From swimming to kayaking, the Olympics to outriggers at the 2012 Pan Pacific Masters Games, Lynda Lehmann has done it all.

She is a dual Olympian in sprint kayak and a former Olympic coach.

Lynda (54) was also a world champion and world record holder in Masters swimming and a World Championship bronze medallist in surf boat rowing.

She also holds multiple qualifications in sports coaching.

And although she retired from elite competition several years ago, she couldn’t help but get back into sport.

“I retired from sprint kayaking in 1997 and I moved to the Gold Coast three years ago where it was just natural to get back into paddling,” Lehmann said.

“But when you reach the age of 50, sport takes on a different meaning. It is no longer about winning, but more about having fun.

“Especially at our age, it’s all fun.

“If you have a good team, a good spirit and a good attitude, and have a good go, that’s good enough,” she said.

Earlier this year her outrigger crew competed in Molokai, Hawaii.

“We came 8th overall (in Molokai), which was unheard of for a team over 50,” Lehmann said.

In Saturday’s Pan Pacs competition Lehmann and her team competed in the grueling 12km race and came out on top with the gold medal.

The new system was born here and filagra this is not anything that we would like to see. Caverta although better in some elements but not important for us.
