The prospect of a love match is never far from the minds of Tweed Heads competitors Greg and Yvonne Morrison who are competing together in tennis at the Jupiters Pan Pacific Masters Games on the Gold Coast.
Competing this year in the over 50s age division the marital couple are hoping to bring home a number of medals after returning form injury.
“This is the comeback,” said Greg.
“We won gold on Tuesday but the only record today is how badly we played the first two sets.”
The pair originally met after an encounter at Pine Rivers tennis tournament in 1991 and have been competing together ever since.
“It’s funny because she was over here from New Zealand and was looking for a partner to play with and I was at a loose end so I partnered up with her,” Greg said.
“I mean the tennis was pretty woeful but we ended up getting married 15 years ago.”
Despite looking forward to upcoming tournaments in Adelaide and Auckland before the Games in 2016, the on court banter between the two is not shied from.
“She kicks my arse on the court but other than that we are all good,” Greg said.
“I generally get told what to do and where to go but I’m okay with that.”
The new scheme was born here and filagra this is not something that we would like to see. Caverta although better in some elements but not important for us.
