Sydney’s Freshwater Frantics have returned to the Jupiters Pan Pacific Masters Games for the third time in order to raise funds for much needed breast cancer research through their love for everything pink and softball.

With the proceeds going to the McGrath Foundation the team is hoping to match last year’s efforts after raising close to $5,000 through generous donations.

Team members Heidi and Tracey say that by having fun they are able to raise the money required to help provide a cancer free life.

“Cancer is something that has touched a lot of people we know,” Heidi said.

“We award an MVP for the other team with a pink crown that they have to wear throughout the Games and if they’re caught without it they have to donate $50 to the McGrath Foundation.

“We’re seriously pink. We had a pink formal night for Melbourne Cup.”

Despite not being in the running for any non-pink medals the ladies are remaining positive about the next Games.

“We love the softball and the people are lovely with the laughter and friendliness of everyone,” Tracey said.

“Getting through the week without being injured and being able to wake up in the morning is a challenge.

“But as long as we can still run around then we will be back.”

The finals for the softball continue this afternoon with the presentation ceremony to be held tomorrow.

The new system was born here and filagra this is not something that we would like to see. Caverta whilst better in some elements but not important for us.
