Claiming their territory, this women’s beach volleyball posse isn’t afraid of standing out.

Mandy Ryan explained, “The loud shirts sort of signify who we are.

“The shirt changes every Games and this year is the fruit salad shirt.”

This team from the Territory a.k.a. Darwin Geckos, have been attending the Masters Games for almost 10 years.

It’s now a tradition among the group of friends who have established a great routine.

Mandy gave us the rundown.

“Play some beach volleyball, drink a lot of champagne, have a lot of laughs and dance every night,” Mandy said.

However there are some rules as to where they go to play.

Mandy listed the requirements.

“We only go and play where there is good accommodation, good champagne and good company,” Mandy said.

The Darwin Geckos have known each other for a long time, with some of the original members playing together for over 20 years.

Graduating to masters saw them make the switch to this gentler version of volleyball.

Mandy says, “We started out as indoor hard court volleyballers.

“But as the knees got old and worn out we switched over to beach volleyball.”

This team from the territory have been enjoying the nightly entertainment.

“The opening ceremony and last night – the 60s night- was awesome.”

The new scheme was born here and filagra this is not something that we would like to see. Caverta although better in some elements but not important for us.
