Travelling from far and wide, tennis players at the Pan Pacific Masters Games all agree that the Seniors Tennis Club in Miami on the beautiful Gold Coast is the reason they keep coming back.
South Australian Anne Crouch, who is competing in her first Pan Pacific Masters Games this week, said the location and atmosphere were the reasons that enticed her to enter in the tennis.
“I love the location, everything is so close and easy to find,” said Anne.
“Our house we’ve rented is like a ‘Big Brother’ house, we have so much fun and it’s walking distance from the tennis courts.”
Canberra’s Grant Woodbridge and several other New South Wales competitors are participating in their fourth Games this year.
“We come up each Games so that we can get a tan,” said Grant.
“We play in two degree weather back home, so it’s nice to come up here and see some sun.
“There are usually a few more of us representing Jerrabomberra (team) but this year I think we have about seven.”
Diane Arnot from Victoria couldn’t help but agree in highlighting the beautiful Gold Coast weather and wouldn’t have missed the opportunity to come up.
“Similar to Grant I like coming up here for the warm weather,” she said with a grin.
“I competed in the Alice Springs Masters only two weeks ago so I’m backing up and coming up here to play as well.”
Cheer and laughter filled the air as spectators fired up the players in the men’s combined 100+ doubles in today’s (Monday) finals.
The new system was born here and filagra this is not something that we would like to see. Caverta although better in some elements but not important for us.
