The Jupiters Pan Pacific Masters Games (JPPMG) golf event has drawn golfers from across the country to compete at the RACV Royal Pines Resort, venue for the upcoming Australian PGA Championships.

The final day of golf at the JPPMG came to a triumphant conclusion, with many amateur golfers loving their time on the Gold Coast.

Sydney golfer, Stephen Musgrave, was competing in his first masters games and said the set up for the masters games was great and the venue was ‘absolutely sensational’.

“The course is in beautiful condition,” he said.

“It’s good to get out with your mates, play golf, and have a drink and a laugh.”

Another Sydney golfer, Phillip Alewood, said he had been to four other masters games, but this was his first time competing, as he used to be a masseuse for the masters games netball event.

“I always enjoy coming up here,” Phillip said.

“It’s a nice week away on the Gold Coast.”

Phillip said he has been playing golf socially for 40 years and that his wife also took part in the masters games as a netball umpire.

The 10th biennial Jupiters Pan Pacific Masters Games is being held 5 – 13 November 2016 on the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia.

The event showcases competition in 43 sports and is hosting 13,000 participants from Queensland, interstate and overseas.
