1984 Olympic heptathlon champion Glynis Nunn-Cearns has turned in a golden performance on the opening day of the 2012 Pan Pacific Masters Games athletics competition.
Twenty eight years after her Los Angeles success, she blitzed the field in the final of the 80 metres hurdles after earlier turning her back on the 100m event due to injury concerns.
“I pulled a calf muscle a week and a half ago and I tweaked a hamstring a week before that, so I though it might be pushing it to run two races today,” she said.
“It’s the old adage, the mind knows what it wants to do, but the body’s not quite so willing.
“I find it really hard because I know what I should be doing, but I over compensate , so I push it a little bit harder and then the muscles don’t really like it.
“For now though, I’ll rest up from this one and run in the 300m hurdles tomorrow (Sunday),” she said.
The Pan Pacific Masters Games Ambassador said she’ thoroughly enjoys’ competing at the Masters level.
“I think it’s fantastic to see all the people out here today.
“You’ve got all these likeminded people all in one spot having fun and trying to stay fit and enjoying themselves. It doesn’t get much better,” she said.
The new system was born here and filagra this is not something that we would like to see. Caverta whilst better in some elements but not significant for us.
