Jupiters Pan Pacific Masters Games participants will be among the first to enjoy some of the world-class competition venues developed for the upcoming Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games (GC2018).
Basketballers will be bouncing with excitement at the new Coomera Indoor Sports Centre, a multi-sport facility set to host the GC2018 gymnastics competition and netball finals. The venue has been designed to world-class competition standards with potential for elite training and competition use. Key features of the venue design include a gymnastics arena and eight mixed-use sports courts.
Swimmers, divers and fitness challenge participants will delight in the outstanding facilities at the upgraded Gold Coast Aquatic Centre. Featuring six pools including a 50 metre 10-lane competition pool and an impressive dry land dive training facility, JPPMG16 competitors will take advantage of the top-level resources before making way for swimming and diving world records in two years’ time. Meanwhile, track and field athletes will jump, throw and run on the newly installed international-standard athletics track located at Runaway Bay Sports Centre, a GC2018 training venue.

The lush and unspoiled Gold Coast hinterland will be home to archers, cross country runners and horse riders at this year’s Jupiters Pan Pacific Masters Games. Famous for its pristine national parks and charming villages, the hinterland is a major draw card for tourists and locals, highlighting there is more to the Gold Coast than sand and surf.
Reedy Creek and Tallebudgera Valley, known to locals as ‘Talley Valley’, are two tranquil suburbs positioned at the foot of the hinterland and will host target and field archery respectively. At the same time, Mudgeeraba, a historic town skirting the fringes, will welcome dozens of four-legged friends and their owners for equestrian dressage and show jumping.

The Gold Coast’s spectacular network of waterways will provide a stunning environment for participants in seven sports at this year’s Jupiters Pan Pacific Masters Games. Known as a beautiful expanse of easily accessible calm water, the broadwater is a popular spot for water enthusiasts, making it the ideal location for the outrigger canoeing, ski and stand up paddling competitions.
Sailing will be held at Paradise Point, a haven for seafaring fanatics located in the northern Gold Coast. The sound of dragon boat drums will be heard across Lake Orr in Varsity Lakes, while rowers will fall in at the fantastic facilities at Coomera Regatta Waters.
Beach volleyballers can look forward to feeling the golden sand of the famous Kurrawa Beach between their toes while open water swimmers soak up the laid-back atmosphere of Mermaid Beach.

You’ll dig the volleyball facilities at A B Paterson College; you’ll be set up to bowl a perfect 300 at Go Bowling Ashmore; and head indoors from vibrant Broadbeach for the judo and ju-jitsu competition at Gold Coast PCYC.
Soak up the Gold Coast’s famous sunshine alongside the Pacific Ocean while competing at the city’s outstanding outdoor venues including Kurrawa Beach in Broadbeach.
Jupiters Pan Pacific Masters Games sports will be played at some of the best outdoor venues the city has to offer. Clubs who boast proud histories, pristine facilities and friendly atmospheres will welcome you with open arms as you play your chosen sport at their venue.
Softballers and baseballers will have twice the fun when they compete at two venues. Baseball will be held at the Surfers Paradise and Nerang Baseball Clubs while the softball diamonds at Robina Common and Pizzey Park will be home to over 1,000 participants.
Golfers will be spoilt for choice between three stunning courses set to both challenge and delight masters golfers; Palmer Colonial, Palmer Gold Coast and RACV Royal Pines Resort, home of the Australian PGA Championship.
Hockey will cross the border and be held in the cosy country town of Murwillumbah at the Barrie Smith Fields, which feature a water-based synthetic turf, a new national standard hybrid pitch and two well-maintained grass fields.
