Wednesday 5 November
Official charity of the Jupiters Pan Pacific Masters Games, Cancer Council Queensland, will be hosting two special charity theme nights tomorrow (Thursday 6 November) and on Friday 7 November at the Games Village in the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Tomorrow night’s theme is the colour pink with the charity asking all participants, supporters and non-playing officials to come dressed from head to toe in the colour pink to help raise funds and awareness for their cause.
In addition, all participants are encouraged to join in on the social trivia competition which commences from 6pm to 8pm with registration open at 5pm.
Trivia is one of five new sports added to the event’s program and have generously opened their sport to all accredited participants, volunteers and staff for a one-off competition that will cost five dollars to enter.
Participants can go in the draw to win a $500 Jupiters Hotel & Casino gift card by gifting a gold coin donation and be in the running to win a number of Jupiters Pan Pacific Masters Games merchandise packs.
But that’s not all.
Cancer Council Queensland will also have a special on stage Q & A session with event ambassadors Glynis Nunn-Cearns and Nikki Hudson as well as 2004 Olympic softball silver medalist Natalie Hodgskin and 1988 Olympic swimming bronze medalist Julie McDonald.
After the trivia competition, all participants are urged to keep the festivities going by attending the P!nk and Lady Gaga tribute show which will celebrate two of the most influential female artists of our time with a monster show filled with the pageantry and majesty the two chart-topping pop stars are known.
The following night will be dedicated to the colour blue and all attendees of the Games Village are asked to include the colour in their outfits.
The best dressed group or individual will be awarded a $500 Jupiters Hotel & Casino gift card.
There will also be a silent auction of a special Cancer Council Queensland Jupiters Pan Pacific Masters Games shirt signed by all the event ambassadors including Pat Carroll, Glynis Nunn-Cearns, Petero Civoniceva, Ian Healy, Nikki Hudson and Geoff Masters with all proceeds going to the charity.
Punters will then be treated to the Rolling Stones Experience who will start it up at the Games Village with a show that is set to recreate the sounds and the songs of one of the world’s most loved rock and roll bands of all-time with authenticity, professionalism and experience.
