Gold Coast local Shane Close and his Brisbane-based brother have enjoyed competing at the Jupiters Pan Pacific Masters Games and have played the sport since they were kids.
“We encourage each other all the way through the game” said Alan.
“Everyone is really social. We’re all here for a good time, play a few games of golf and of course enjoy a cold beer at the end.”
Tomorrow, the brothers will play at Royal Pines in the singles round, and although they will competing against each other, the brothers say there is no bad blood.
“I’ll probably beat him. We’re brothers, so we compete all the time,” said Alan.
The brothers were excited to play on three very different courses.
They usually just play Royal Pines but are keen to give the other courses a go.
The brothers were excited to hear that they would be joined by sporting legend Ian Healy and that he would be playing the first nine holes with them.
The brothers explained that they always have a good time at the Jupiters Pan Pacific Masters Games and they love the chance to catch up without their wives.
Asked if their wives were worried when the two go away together, Shane said they had full trust in them.
“They know we don’t get in any strife,” Shane said.
The highlight of the games for the brothers is the presentation night.
“It doesn’t matter if we win or lose, we just love the chance to catch up with some old mates and make some new ones while having a few drinks,” Alan said.
The new system was born here and filagra this is not something that we would like to see. Caverta although better in some elements but not important for us.
