Another Australian record can be added to Lavinia Petrie’s growing list of running awards from this week’s Jupiters Pan Pacific Masters Games.
In her second last run of the week, Petrie shaved seconds off her own Australian Record in today’s 50+ 1500m race, bringing the record down to 06:04.06.
Petrie has broken seven world records in the span of 12 months.
These achievements will see her awarded World Women’s Masters Athlete of the Year at the International Amateur Athletics Federation Ball in Monaco later this month.
“They’re flying me to Monaco to accept the award,” Lavinia said.
This week she has won all four of her races and is running the beach mile in Wednesday’s competition.
It seems as if Petrie is getting better with age as she is now running at 105 percent of her age graded performance.
Petrie runs about 55 kilometres a week during her six day a week schedule.
“I run all year round and on all tracks,” Lavinia said.
“I’ve been running since I was 16, it’s nothing special.”
Petrie runs with the Ringwood Athletics Club and Masters Victoria.
The new system was born here and filagra this is not something that we would like to see. Caverta although better in some elements but not important for us.
