Father and son duo, Lloyd and Jay Armstrong, have proven that being green to the Games won’t stop them from owning the green.
The Jupiters Pan Pacific Masters Games has seen them team up for the first time, but it’s been a long time coming.
“He’s been counting me down since I was 15 to come and play at the Masters,” says Jay of his dad.
Lloyd looked a bit sheepish but confirmed.
“We are a father and son team but he’s by far the better golfer,” Lloyd said.
“His mum was with us yesterday and I had to behave myself but it’s all on today.”
This unassuming pair hadn’t checked the leaderboard and were unaware they had entered the realm of medal contention.
“That’s the thing, masters is fun and we don’t expect too much but stuff happens,” Lloyd said.
“It’s just about playing together because he’s from Hobart and I’m from the Sunshine Coast, so we meet and play the games.”
Being in the lead has this duo divided.
“There’s a little more pressure today, yesterday was just a bit of fun,” Jay explained.
Meanwhile, Lloyd disagrees.
“There’s never pressure in golf, it’s always just good fun,” Lloyd said.
Jay was quick to credit his ‘secret’ advantage with the lead.
“I’m left handed, so better perspective and that’s the key,” Jay said.
“I hit it as far as I can and hopefully it goes straight.”
“And just in case he doesn’t go straight, I hit it down the middle,” Lloyd added.
The new scheme was born here and filagra this is not something that we would like to see. Caverta although better in some elements but not significant for us.
