17.8 – Points averaged per game by men’s basketball competition top-scorer Chaminda De Alwis of Sri Lanka – White. De Alwis’ highest single game point total was 22 in a 41-40 victory over Myths and Legends.

25 years, 2 months and 8 days – Age of youngest Games competitor, Amanda Nelson, on the day of the opening ceremony. She was 22 days younger than fellow swimmer Elise Kho who is the second youngest athlete to compete.

38 – Sports contested at the 2012 Games. 34 sports were contested in 2008 and 2010.

39 – Most goals scored in a single water polo match. The tournament’s eventual silver medallist team the Guppies beat the NC Ladies 39-0 in the match on day one.

52 – Competing athletes who were 80 years or older.

85 – Age of John Rigby, the final competitor to cross the finish line in the beach mile event. Rigby’s fellow competitors celebrated his achievement by forming a human tunnel for him as he crossed the line.

101 – Total stableford points scored by men’s 4BBB ‘A’ division golf gold medallists Murray Henzell and Neil Hedge at RACV Royal Pines Resort.

135 – Combined ages of touch football referee team Paul Eggers (71) and Terry McMahon (64). Eggers, a Gold Coast touch football institution, and McMahon refereed a match together on Friday 9 November.
