Age Requirements
  • Age is determined as of Sunday 1st November 2026
  • Minimum age for competition is 30 Years
Age Divisions
  • 30-39, 40-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-79, 80+
Event Divisions
  • Universal Trap (PPMG Championship)
  • Skeet (Gold Coast Championship & PPMG Championship)
  • Trap (Gold Coast Points Championship & PPMG Double Barrel Classic)
  • Sporting (Gold Coast Championship and PPMG Championship)

Each Division will have Grades AA, A, B & C. 

Sport Fees
  • $35 per person, per event
Games Fees
  • $140 Early Bird (3 March – 31 May 2026)
  • $155 Saver (1 June – 31 August 2026)
  • $170 Standard (from 1 September 2026)
Entries Close
  • Individual Entries Close: Wednesday 14th October 2026 (11:59PM AEST)

Competition Information

  • One x 50 target event plus final will be shot for Universal Trap
    Two x 50 target events will be shot each day for Skeet, Trap and Sporting
  • Due to the differences in handicap systems across shooting organizations, presentation of gold, silver and bronze placegetter medals will be based using the Lewis Class System in four divisions and age categories for each event.
  • There are no separate ladies or section prizes.
  • Standard floor targets will be used for Olympic Trap, Skeet and Trap. Targets in a variety of colours and sizes will be used for Sporting.
  • Participants must hold a current Australian firearms licence to be permitted to shoot.
  • International visitors must obtain a visitor’s firearms licence from the Queensland Weapons Branch. International participants can obtain information on importing firearms and download the necessary application forms from the Queensland Police website.
  • ALL participants must produce their current licence to be permitted to shoot and to sign the Range Register each day.
    A range of ammunition will be available at the club.
  • The Gold Coast Clay Target Club has a limited number of suitable firearms for hire.
  • Meals and refreshments can be purchased at the Club on competition days
