He’s been coming to Pan Pacs since the early 2000s and has taken home a swag of medals with the Hunter Hawks softball team and that’s made him pretty happy.

But not quite as happy as a change of sport and his very first hole in one very at this year’s PPMG golf tournament.

On the eighth hole at Palmer Gold Coast Golf Club with a five hybrid Newcastle’s Andrew ‘Happy’ Gilmore ticked off a big bucket list item.

“I just clipped her in and she bounced 131 metres into the hole and bob’s your uncle”, said Happy with a grin from ear to ear.

And not to be outdone fellow Novacastrian Michelle Coleman also landed her first hole in one at Royal Pines in front of a very proud husband and her best friends.

“I hit the ball and it worm burnt all the way to the hole… it was amazing.”
