It was a sporting reunion 30 years in the making when the three Burmester brothers took the field together yesterday in Nerang at the Jupiters Pan Pacific Masters Games Football (Soccer) event.

As young men Peter (58), John (55) and ‘Stinky’ Steve (53) represented their province in the New Zealand national league.

It’s Peter and Steve’s fourth time competing at the Jupiters Pan Pacific Masters Games, but John hadn’t so much as kicked a ball in decades after a massive blowout in his knee that left him sidelined after a complete knee reconstruction at 28.

Their reunion yesterday was short lived with Peter injuring himself early on in their first match.

“For 20 minutes we had a family affair”, Steve laughed.

But injuries and missed games weren’t dampening any of the FC Western boy’s moods however, with eyes firmly set on the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre to enjoy the Melbourne Cup.

Celebrations will kick off at the decked out mansion on the canals that the boys rented for their weekend away.

When asked where their wives were, the Burmesters joked,

“We just said we were going away for the week, we didn’t say where”.

Good luck with that one, fellas.

The new system was born here and filagra this is not something that we would like to see. Caverta although better in some elements but not significant for us.
